Matt and Ginny Brannon

Matt and Ginny Brannon serve as the Theater/Dramatic Speech teachers for Blaze. This fabulous husband wife duo met and fell madly in love in the Baylor University Theatre Department. Both graduated with Bachelors of Fine Arts in Performance. Matt and Ginny are members of First Montgomery. On Sunday mornings you can find Matt in the sound booth where he assists with sound and technology. Matt and Ginny have two adorable children who are the light of their lives. Their knowledge of theater and screen performances has been a welcomed addition to Blaze!

Natalie Champagne

Amy Nabors

I have been teaching math for 18 years. I earned my doctorate in Developmental Education Administration in 2020. I love working with students whose favorite subject is anything but math. I hope to instill at least an appreciation of the subject. My favorite subject to teach is geometry.  I am married and have 2 children. One will be in college in the fall and the other is in high school. When I have free time, I enjoy seeing and crafting.  Love one another. John 13:34

LaTaunya Pollard

My name is LaTaunya Pollard-Romanazzi. First and foremost, I give all glory and praise to God for the blessings and talent He has given me. I was born and raised in East Chicago, Indiana which is where it all started: in the back allies behind my parents’ home, I began shooting hoops in a garbage can, then a bicycle tire rim and finally on to a real basketball goal which was nailed to a telephone pole.

Supported by my family, friends, teammates and the City of East Chicago, I developed the fundamentals skills necessary to compete on the highest level possible. I played basketball at E.C. Roosevelt High School in Indiana where we won 2 State Championships and had a 4 year record of 91 and 2.  In 1979, I was named Ms. Basketball which was the highest honor in the state of Indiana bestowed upon high school players. I went to California State University at Long Beach on a four year scholarship, broke many records which still stand today and graduated with a degree in physical education. I continued on to play overseas for 8 years and once scored 99 points in a single  game. Please feel free Google me for more honors and awards that I received throughout my career.

I am a firm believer in Jesus Christ, who is my Lord and savior and I am a member of The Ark Church in Conroe, Texas. I have three wonderful children and five precious grandchildren. I have lived in Montgomery, Texas for 11 plus years where my business, Fundamentals of Basketball, began. I love basketball and I love teaching basketball, but most importantly, I love ministering to the children about how God blesses me to help them learn and grow!

Stephen Rice

Stephen Rice is a local homeschool dad and math teacher at Conroe High School.  He graduated from Sam Houston with a degree in Mathematics.  He has taught Algebra and Geometry for 20 years and taught PSAT/SAT prep classes 15 years.  He was also a tutor for Mathnasium for 14 years.  He has 3 children, 2 of which are now homeschool graduates.  One daughter is still homeschooling and is 13 years old.  He enjoys helping students find confidence and excel in math.

Monica Stanley

Monica Stanley and her husband Billy have been married for 17 years and have 3 children, Karley, Ashton and Davin. The Stanleys enjoy camping, boating, hunting and are currently restoring two classic trucks. During their free time you will find them near a river or lake when they are not camping or spending time with friends and family.  Monica and Billy are faithful members of First Montgomery where they have both volunteered with youth ministry for several years. As the daughter of two educators, Monica values quality education for all students. Monica received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education and a Master’s Degree in Special Education from Sam Houston State University. Prior to homeschooling, Monica taught in public education and served as a Behavioral Specialist. Monica has been homeschooling her children for nine years. Monica’s vision for Blaze is to instill a love of learning in all students while meeting the needs of unique learners within our community.

Angela Ward

Angela Ward is excited to be joining the Blaze teaching team!  She loves Jesus, reading, writing, singing, running, and theater.  She came to Christ as a college student and, after graduating from UT, worked in social work and full-time campus and student ministry with her husband, Matt, before becoming a mom to four amazing children, who are now 14, 11, and 7 (twins).  She began formally teaching writing classes to homeschool students five years ago and is registered through the Institute of Excellence in Writing (IEW). When she is not teaching, she is leading a local co-op, serving on her church worship team, working as a student ministry volunteer, or hanging out with her family (preferably outside).  She can’t wait to see what God has in store at Blaze this year!
