Courtney and Glen have two daughters, Cherish 21 and Liberty 14. Last year they were thrilled to have been blessed with their first grandchild Ellie Grace. Courtney was called by God to become our Director for First Montgomery Kids Academy. She was able to take our Mother’s Day Out program and turn it into a licensed academy for ages 18 months to 6 years old. She is excited about the new addition of Heritage Academy and she has spent countless hours preparing Heritage for the families who will be blessed to call it their school home.

Coach LaTaunya Pollard – PE & Fundamentals of Basketball

My name is LaTaunya Pollard-Romanazzi. First and foremost, I give all glory and praise to God for the blessings and talent He has given me. I was born and raised in East Chicago, Indiana which is where it all started: in the back allies behind my parents’ home, I began shooting hoops in a garbage can, then a bicycle tire rim and finally on to a real basketball goal which was nailed to a telephone pole.

Supported by my family, friends, teammates and the City of East Chicago, I developed the fundamentals skills necessary to compete on the highest level possible. I played basketball at E.C. Roosevelt High School in Indiana where we won 2 State Championships and had a 4 year record of 91 and 2.  In 1979, I was named Ms. Basketball which was the highest honor in the state of Indiana bestowed upon high school players. I went to California State University at Long Beach on a four year scholarship, broke many records which still stand today and graduated with a degree in physical education. I continued on to play overseas for 8 years and once scored 99 points in a single  game. Please feel free Google me for more honors and awards that I received throughout my career.

I am a firm believer in Jesus Christ, who is my Lord and savior and I am a member of The Ark Church in Conroe, Texas. I have three wonderful children and five precious grandchildren. I have lived in Montgomery, Texas for 11 plus years where my business, Fundamentals of Basketball, began. I love basketball and I love teaching basketball, but most importantly, I love ministering to the children about how God blesses me to help them learn and grow!

Fressia Hatton – Spanish

Fressia has been married to her husband, and best friend, for 10 years. Together, they have 4 boys and have started their homeschool journey with their first two sons. Before becoming a homeschool mom and teacher, she was a reading interventionist for elementary students. She graduated from the University of Houston with a Bachelor in Applied Arts & Sciences.

Fressia enjoys reading and spending time outside in nature. Teaching is her passion and she loves that teaching Spanish in particular, allows her to share her culture with others and hopes her students can use these skills to connect with others and share the Gospel.
