Courtney Haneline – Director

Courtney Haneline is a native Texan born in Dallas but has lived in the Conroe area the last 29 years. Courtney met her husband when she was only 12 years old at the local Y.M.C.A childcare program. Courtney and Glen have two daughters Cherish, 22 and Liberty, 14. Two years ago they were thrilled to be blessed with their first grandchild Ellie Grace.

Courtney has been in early childhood education for the last 23 years, and has been a childcare director for the last 17 years. With God’s blessing during the last 23 years she has been able to help start and grow schools. Courtney has a true heart for students, familes and teachers. After being called by God to become our Director for First Montgomery Kids Academy, Courtney and her family moved to Montgomery.

She was able to take our Mother’s Day Out Program and turn it into a licensed academy for ages 18 months to 6 years old, as well as adding private kindergarten last year. Courtney is very excited about the new addition of Heritage Academy and she has spent countless hour preparing Heritage for the families who will be blessed to call it their school home.

Heidi Farnsworth – First Grade Teacher

Howdy! My name is Heidi Farnsworth and I am so excited to be your child’s First Grade teacher! I am so blessed to enter my fifteenth year of teaching and my first year with Heritage Christian Academy!

I’m an Aggie, and graduated from Texas A&M University with my Education Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and hold an Associate of Science and an Associate of Art’s from Blinn College. I have taught at the Elementary, Middle and High School level and first and second grade is my absolute favorite! My teaching approach is much like Ms. Frizzle’s from the Magic School Bus, where I like to explore the different subjects with a hands on approach.

I love spending time with my family and teaching my four children about Jesus! Teaching is my calling and I know we are going to have so much FUN learning all kinds of new things this school year!

Coach LaTaunya Pollard – PE & Fundamentals of Basketball

My name is LaTaunya Pollard-Romanazzi. First and foremost, I give all glory and praise to God for the blessings and talent He has given me. I was born and raised in East Chicago, Indiana which is where it all started: in the back allies behind my parents’ home, I began shooting hoops in a garbage can, then a bicycle tire rim and finally on to a real basketball goal which was nailed to a telephone pole.

Supported by my family, friends, teammates and the City of East Chicago, I developed the fundamentals skills necessary to compete on the highest level possible. I played basketball at E.C. Roosevelt High School in Indiana where we won 2 State Championships and had a 4 year record of 91 and 2.  In 1979, I was named Ms. Basketball which was the highest honor in the state of Indiana bestowed upon high school players. I went to California State University at Long Beach on a four year scholarship, broke many records which still stand today and graduated with a degree in physical education. I continued on to play overseas for 8 years and once scored 99 points in a single  game. Please feel free Google me for more honors and awards that I received throughout my career.

I am a firm believer in Jesus Christ, who is my Lord and savior and I am a member of The Ark Church in Conroe, Texas. I have three wonderful children and five precious grandchildren. I have lived in Montgomery, Texas for 11 plus years where my business, Fundamentals of Basketball, began. I love basketball and I love teaching basketball, but most importantly, I love ministering to the children about how God blesses me to help them learn and grow!
