Oct 7, 2025 at 7:30am
Church Family,
I want to inform you that there is a new allegation against Jon from an adult connected to our church. We are fully cooperating with Detective Alvarez in the Montgomery County Constable’s Office for Precinct 3, who is investigating the case, and have turned over what we know to her. It is still true to my knowledge that no children associated with our church or school have come forth or been identified as victims.
We are committed to transparency and cooperation in this. If you have ANY information regarding this case, we urge you to contact Detective Alvarez at (281) 364-4211. Also, we have not received any information from the computer searches we requested, but when it comes back, we will share it here.
I also want to publicly thank everyone for their prayers and encouragement during this difficult time. You all have been a great blessing to us, and your prayers have strengthened us as we have endured the past 11 days.
God bless you!
Pastor Chris

Church Family,
We wanted to give you an update regarding the news about Jon Sheptock. We are fully cooperating with the Montgomery County Constable’s Office for Precinct 3 and the detective investigating this case. At our request, the detective has retrieved Jon’s church computer today to ensure it contains no unlawful content.
The detective also informed me that none of the alleged victims they have identified have any connection to our church or any of its ministries, including Blaze Christian Academy. While our hearts break for the victims and their families, wherever they live, we are thankful to know that none so far are connected to our church or school.
The detective also informed us that no other adults associated with our church or or school are under investigation.
We are committed to full transparency and will continue to provide information as we receive it. This is unfolding quickly, and we will provide updates on this page when we get more information.
God bless you,
Pastor Chris

Church Family,
It is with a heavy heart that I share this with you. Jon Sheptock, who served as our worship minister, was arrested about 24 hours ago on charges related to child pornography. This is now public and is being shared on social media.
We immediately removed Jon from all responsibilities at the church. He did not have responsibilities overseeing children in the church or school except occasionally in a large group setting with other adults. At this point, we have no information that indicates any of the children in our care were involved, but we are taking every precaution to protect our kids and to maintain the integrity of our ministry. If you have any information, please report it to law enforcement at (281) 364-4211.
We must be clear: what Jon is accused of is a grievous sin, and it is heartbreaking for all of our church family and the families of innocent children who may be involved. God’s Word says “there is nothing hidden that will not be disclosed” (Luke 8:17). We will not cover up sin, and we will not excuse it. We will fully cooperate with law enforcement and trust the judicial process. Our first priority is to honor the Lord through the continued safety of all the kids entrusted to our care.
Please pray for all those directly affected and for our church to continue to stand firm in the light of truth. Times like this remind us of our total dependence on God’s righteousness, justice, and grace.
We will keep you informed as we are able. Now more than ever, we are committed to living out our motto of lovefirst!
God bless you,
Pastor Chris
