Student Ministry Leader Specific Updates
- Regular Schedule/Updates:
- Small Group Bible Study (Sundays @ 9:45AM)
- The Gathering (Wednesdays from 5-7PM) – Last Wednesday Gathering is THIS WEEK
- UPCOMING EVENTS TO PREPARE FOR:
- May 24: The Gathering: Summer Kickoff 2K23 - Color War (cookout, color war, and send off into summer)
- June 2: Dave & Busters (5:30-8:30p, cost: $45/ student, we are headed to Dave & Busters for fun and games some food & drink is included in the overall price of this event)
- June 3: Car Wash Fundraiser 2.0 (10:30-2:30p, this is just like our other fundraiser, however, it will be shorter, this is your last chance to earn money for camp!)
- June 9: Late Night: Glow in the Dark Night (we will play various glow in the dark themed games, finishing the night off with murder in the dark)
- June 12-16: Camp Refuge 2K23 (cost: $70 nonrefundable deposit/$310 total, more info in the app)
- June 19-23: Serve Week 2K23 (cost: FREE, help with Mission Montgomery, VBS and things around the church; times vary Monday and Tuesday, W-F: 5-8p with VBS)
FOR SUNDAY BIBLE STUDY LEADERS
Hey Leaders! We have a normal Sunday this Sunday. I am looking forward to getting fresh curriculum started! Please let me know how I can be praying for you this week.
For High School Ministry:
We will pick up our new curriculum this week. It was ordered Thursday, so likely we will receive it sometime this week! I'll keep you updated. If for some reason it doesn't show up on Thursday, we can do a review Sunday on evidence that demands a verdict.
For Junior High Ministry:
I forgot to get y'all your curriculum this Sunday, so I will get it to you this week, by Wednesday at the latest. We pick up our summer curriculum this next Sunday the 28th.
For all:
We will meet at 9:30a in the library for our Round Table meeting to check in with each other, talk about the morning, and pray together. Please, please, please check in with your few this week. Make sure they are doing okay and encourage them to come to church!

Hey SGLs! This week we have our Color War and Cook out for our student ministry families! This would be an ideal time for you to meet your few's parents and get to know them on a more personal level. This week is one of those weeks we are planning for you to get to know your few and their family better. I am so excited for the color war and our kickoff into summer. Thank you all for the sacrifice and dedication to the ministry all year. We couldn't do what we do without you. We will be doing a short lesson for the evening but no small groups.

Despite the fact that rising through adversity seems almost intuitive when it comes to many things we do in life, a lot of us take the path of least resistance when it comes to our relationship with Jesus. As a blind beggar, Bartimaeus was pretty familiar with adversity. And even when He tried to initiate an encounter with Jesus, he found adversity blocking the path. Bartimaeus was passionate, though. And that passion seemed to stem in part from the fact that he had a personalized view of Jesus (the Christ) and an accurate view of himself (a sinner in need of mercy).
