FOR SUNDAY BIBLE STUDY LEADERS

Hey Leaders! This coming Sunday we are doing the Joshua Project! Be sure to check the group message for exactly who is doing what. We have official groups and assignments for every kid that has signed up. WE ARE NOT MEETING IN THE YOUTH ROOM THIS SUNDAY. Last request I have is: please text our students to encourage them, they have been getting ready for the Joshua Project and some of them are very nervous. Make sure they know to be present at 9:00AM THIS SUNDAY. Be in prayer for them as well.

FOR WEDNESDAY SGL's

Hi Small Group Leaders! It’s the second week of our series on resilience called Never Give Up. This week, we’re talking specifically about what it looks like to have resilience in our faith. This is such a huge conversation, and we’re praying for you as you lead your students through it this week!

FOR GROUP

SERIES PREVIEW FOR NEVER GIVE UP:

BOTTOM LINE

Never give up on God.

THE GOAL OF SMALL GROUP

To encourage students to find hope in what's true about God and choose to stay committed to following Jesus even when life gets tough.

THINK ABOUT THIS

At this phase, teenagers think like philosophers—meaning they want to make meaning of their world and work to understand why things happen. As students process tough times, try not to make God the reason WHY tough times happen. Don't make promises that may not come true. If a student is in the middle of a tough situation, as tempting as it may be to try to tie a bow on their circumstances, sometimes the truest and the best thing we can offer our students is our empathy, presence, and a reminder that God is with them no matter what they are facing.

QUOTE

"I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world." - John 16:33.
