Building Christian Men to Become Christian Leaders
The Yokefellow Ministry is comprised of Christian men who have been invited by an individual Deacon who sees Christian Leadership Potential in the man. If the invited man accepts the opportunity, the Deacon is committed to mentor one-on-one through nurturing supervision and instruction to assist the Yokefellow in finding where God’s calling for him to serve in the Church.
The Yokefellow’s assigned Deacon will mentor and meet with him on an ongoing basis for up to a year in order to explore and ascertain his Spiritual Gifts including ongoing study together with the goal of finding the service areas of the Church that he will be the most effective leader in pursuing God’s work.
This mentorship can lead the Yokefellow to many areas of church leadership as the graphic below illustrates

Paul, in Philippians 4:3 KJV, referred to one of his fellow workers as a Yokefellow: “And I entreat thee also, true yokefellow, help those women which laboured with me in the gospel.”
The concept of being teamed with another person is a common teaching in the scripture: Paul and Barnabus, Paul and Silas, Barnabus and Mark. Like the deacon, a Yokefellow is dedicated to Jesus Christ and to the church to which he belongs. A Yokefellow is a man who “checks out” in the areas of:
